With every living soul seemingly on the Internet, there is an exponential growth of useless trash we can’t dispose of. So we have to go through every day trying to find what’s good, what’s bad and how not to add to the world’s junkyard.
There are countless videos on Youtube and almost everyone is involved with social networking. Who do you follow and who do you avoid?
I’d hope that I’m somewhat of a person worth following. Since this is my first post and if you haven’t read my bio- I covered the Kansas Jayhawk men’s basketball team this season for the University Daily Kansan (KU’s student newspaper). I know a lot about KU bball, so what means I have credentials elsewhere?
Good point.
I’d like to say we all have something to share with the world, but that just isn’t true. As a journalist, I try to make sure what I put out is beneficial in some way. Not all my tweets will aid you in Jayhawk basketball info, but I hope to give out a smile a day, if not more.
I have filtered some gems for you. I thought I would put together a list of famous singers who are tremendous at putting content on the web. Plus, they are cooler than me:
-Mike Shinoda (you may know him as the rapper from Linkin Park) does blogs right. I was listening to him talk on the Nerdist Podcast (I’m an LP fan, not a nerd) and he sparked the whole idea for this post. Let’s use my blog as an outlet for stuff I can’t put into my music and art. At the same time, let’s share some goodies not everyone is privy to.
-Whenever I’m having a downer of a day, I direct myself to Jason Mraz’s Freshness Factor Five Thousand to better the mood. Some of his posts have to do with tips on helping the environment, but overall, it’s a joyous occasion.
-To round out the celeb shout outs, we have Justin Timberlake’s official website. This thing is incredible. Most artists just have songs, tour dates and press releases. This site is in a class of its own when it comes to News, Fashion, Sports and just about everything else. It’s too interactive at times, but just know- it’s not all about JT here.
There you go- guys doing it right, each in their own different way.
Promise to be more original next time,
Cor
